About Us
Cemelia Initiatives Africa is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that operates in Mitooma, Kasese and Gulu districts of Uganda. The headquarters are situated in Katenga Subcounty, Mitooma District in Western Uganda where a physical office is established.
The organization works with a variety of stakeholders, including all levels of government, non- governmental organizations, academia, professional associations, private sector, health facilities, schools, clubs, and community- based organizations (CBOs).

Objectives of Cemelia Initiatives
- Build the capacity of CBOs in project design, proposal writing, monitoring and evaluation and link them to funding opportunities.
- Increase household income through engaging communities in agricultural activities combined with skills development.
- Transform banana pseudo stems into quality, sustainable and biodegradable textiles and eco-friendly crafts.
- Provide education assistance and improve literacy and numeracy in vulnerable communities.
- Support climate change mitigation and adaptation in selected schools and communities.
- Provide social, health and wellness services for seniors.
- Support sports activities to aid healthy lifestyles and mental health for children and young people.
